WORKSafe Funnel Mouthpieces are designed to use a small amount of air to determine either a ‘PASS’ or ‘FAIL’ result. They do not require direct mouth contact, making them a more hygienic and sustainable option for rapid workplace testing scenarios.
If a ‘FAIL’ result is achieved from a WORKSafe Funnel mouthpiece, it is recommended to then swap to a WORKSafe Mouthpiece in NORMAL mode to determine a specific quantitative reading on the participant.

The WORKSafe Funnel Mouthpiece should click in easily with light hand pressure and sit securely. Don't force it - if it doesn't fit easily, check you've got the correct mouthpiece for your model.

A loose fit is usually caused by worn mouthpiece connection slots or use of the incorrect mouthpiece.
Firstly, check you're using a compatible mouthpiece. If the mouthpiece still feels loose, check there is nothing stuck inside the connection slots that is preventing the part from clicking in. Plastic from mouthpieces can sometimes break off inside the device if handled roughly or dropped. Call our servicing team at 1300 667 661 to organise an inspection.

All AlcoLimit mouthpieces don't have a set shelf life if stored in a clean, dry place away from heat and direct sunlight. Replace any mouthpieces that are cracked, damaged or dirty.

A FLOW error means the device was unable to detect a sufficient breath sample to produce a BAC% reading. Firstly, confirm you are using a compatible mouthpiece for your device. Check the mouthpiece is fully inserted, then blow firmly and steadily until the test finishes.
