How-to-Use the Stryker Breathalyser
Why Choose the Stryker Fuel Cell Breathalyser?
The sensor is the most important component of any breathalyser.
Many low-cost breathalysers use semiconductor sensors that can be influenced by environmental factors and may lose accuracy more quickly over time.
The Stryker uses a professional-grade fuel cell sensor that is specifically engineered to detect alcohol molecules. This technology is widely recognised for delivering superior accuracy, consistency
and reliability compared with semiconductor-based devices.
For users who want results they can trust, we always recommend fuel cell technology first.
Australian Standard AS3547 Certified
The Stryker is certified to Australian Standard AS3547, Australia's recognised performance standard for breathalysers. This certification confirms the device has been independently tested for accuracy, durability, reliability and performance consistency.
Professional Heavy-Duty Fuel Cell Sensor
The Stryker is one of our most highly recommended models due to the high quality of its fuel cell sensor. It incorporates a premium electrochemical fuel cell sensor specifically designed to detect alcohol molecules with exceptional accuracy.
Fuel cell technology provides:
• Superior accuracy

Is the Stryker breathalyser accurate enough to determine if I am under 0.050?
Is the Stryker breathalyser accurate enough to determine if I am under 0.050?
The Stryker is Australian Standard approved and uses a fuel cell sensor providing highly accurate BAC readings. The stated accuracy is +/-0.005 at 0.100%BAC. We recommend testing yourself and then waiting another 10 minutes to perform a second test. This will generally let you know whether your %BAC is increasing or lowering. However, breathalyser results should always be used as a guide and never as a guarantee that you are legally safe to drive.
What BAC range can the Stryker Breathalyser detect?
What BAC range can the Stryker Breathalyser detect?
The Stryker Breathalyser measures breath alcohol concentrations from 0.000%BAC up to 0.500%BAC, allowing users to monitor a extended range of alcohol levels.

Is the Stryker Breathalyser Australian Standards AS3547 approved?
The Stryker Breathalyser complies with Australian Standard AS3547:1997, confirming that it has undergone independent testing to assess its accuracy, reliability and overall performance. This certification demonstrates that the device meets established Australian requirements for personal-use breathalysers.
How long does a Stryker Breathalyser take to do an alcohol breath test?
How long does a Stryker Breathalyser take to do an alcohol breath test?
The Stryker Breathalyser offers a fast and straightforward way to check your blood alcohol concentration. Once the device has completed its start-up cycle, simply provide a breath sample and your BAC result will be displayed on-screen within seconds. From start to finish, testing typically takes under a minute.
Is the Stryker Breathalyser suitable for P-plate drivers?
Is the Stryker Breathalyser suitable for P-plate drivers?
Yes. The Stryker Breathalyser is a popular choice among provisional licence holders, as many Australian states require P-plate drivers to maintain a zero BAC when driving. Its fuel cell sensor technology provides highly accurate readings, helping users check their alcohol levels before travelling.
If you receive a 0.000 BAC result, it is advisable to wait at least 20 minutes and test again to confirm the reading. Alcohol can continue to be absorbed into the bloodstream after drinking, particularly if there is still alcohol present in the stomach, which may cause BAC levels to rise over time.
For P-platers, we strongly recommend avoiding driving after consuming alcohol. Many users find the Stryker most useful for checking residual alcohol levels the following morning before driving to work, study or other commitments.
Is the Stryker Breathalyser suitable to use in the dark at the pub or in my car?

Does the Stryker Breathalyser store previous test results in memory for later recall?
Does the Stryker Breathalyser store previous test results in memory for later recall?
Yes, the Stryker can store up to 10 results in memory. The results include the alcohol reading, time and date of testing. For a higher end breathalyser with additional data storage we recommend the AlcoTrack Breathalyser which stores 100 test results.
Can multiple people use the same Stryker Breathalyser?
Can multiple people use the same Stryker Breathalyser?
Yes. Multiple users can share the same device by using a clean mouthpiece for each person. If users have a particularly high result wait at least 5 minutes before the next test. Replacement mouthpieces are available and are recommended for hygiene and accurate testing.

What is the Stryker Personal Breathalyser?
The AlcoLimit Stryker is one of Australia's most affordable fuel cell breathalysers with Australian Standards AS3547 approval. It combines professional-grade sensor technology, three-decimal-place precision and easy operation in a compact, lightweight design. Why should I wait 20 minutes after drinking alcohol before testing myself?
Why should I wait 20 minutes after drinking alcohol before testing myself?
Residual alcohol in the mouth can affect readings as can Listerine or cigarettes. Do not consume anything but water in the 20 minutes prior to testing yourself. Waiting at least 20 minutes helps ensure a more accurate breath sample. Additionally, the alcohol recently consumed may still not have been absorbed into your blood so your level can continue to increase after testing.
Will using the Stryker Breathalyser let me know if I am legally allowed to drive?
Will using the Stryker Breathalyser let me know if I am legally allowed to drive?
The Stryker Breathalyser is designed to provide fast and dependable BAC readings, but it should not be relied upon as the sole indicator of whether it is safe or legal to drive. Legal driving limits vary between licence categories, and alcohol can affect people differently depending on a variety of personal factors.
Variables such as body weight, gender, food intake, medication use, hydration and drinking patterns can all influence blood alcohol concentration. For this reason, the Stryker breathalyser should be used as an alcohol screening device to support responsible decision-making rather than as a guarantee of legal driving eligibility.
We do not recommend driving with ANY amount of alcohol in your system.
Is the Stryker breathalyser suitable for workplace testing?
Is the Stryker breathalyser suitable for workplace testing?
The Alcolimit Stryker breathalyser is designed primarily for personal alcohol testing. Workplace testing programs generally require workplace-specific breathalysers which store data and have additional menu functions. However, many small businesses use personal breathalysers as a cost effective tool to monitor staff which they suspect are under the influence. Check your local workplace regulations for suitability.
Does the Stryker Breathalyser use a fuel cell sensor?
Does the Stryker Breathalyser use a fuel cell sensor?
Yes. The AlcoLimit Stryker uses professional-grade electrochemical fuel cell sensor technology and is certified to Australian Standard AS3547, providing highly accurate and reliable BAC readings. They hold their calibration (accuracy) longer and provide more reliable repeated testing than cheaper options. At AlcoLimit Breathalysers ALL of our breathalysers use fuel cell sensors for this reason.
